VNIIZHT

Railway Research Institute (JSC «VNIIZHT») is the leading scientific research center of railway transport and the largest testing center of 1520 mm gauge. More than 105 years of scientific experience (since 1918). The head office of JSC «VNIIZHT» is located in Moscow; the branches of the institute are: Data-Analysis Research Center – NIAC (Saint Petersburg), Design Bureau – PKB (Moscow, Nizhny Novgorod), Ural Branch (Yekaterinburg); two test sites – Test Loop (Shcherbinka) and High–speed Test Site (Belorechensk). A wide range of competencies: high-speed railways, traction rolling stock, track infrastructure and power supply, digital technologies and robotics, passenger complex management, transportation technologies, diagnostics and monitoring of track and rolling stock, business process modeling, project management and others. Areas of activity and services: research and development work; information technology and digitalization; engineering and commercialization of intellectual property, testing and certification, engineering and operational consulting, own postgraduate school.
