In 2025, the Salon will be held at the main railway museum in Russia and one of the largest railway museums in the world. The museum collection includes more than 123 unique exhibits of rolling stock and 44 multimedia installations.

Dear friends and colleagues!
On behalf of «Russian Railways», JSC I am glad to welcome you on the main event of the railway engineering – The International Railway Fair in the area 1520 «PRO//Motion.Expo». Today the Fair is held in the jubilee year for the entire industry – the 180th anniversary of railway engineering in Russia. The first batch of steam locomotives made in the Alexandrovsk Machinery Plant for the railway between St. Petersburg and Moscow that had been under construction in August 1845.
Nowadays our country is making another breakthrough in the transport sector in the era of cardinal changes and global challenges. The project of the first high-speed railway line is a true symbol of transition to a new technological paradigm that will boost the development of all sectors of Russian economy.
That is why we draw our priority attention to leadership in engineering development, the implementation of domestic digital and innovative solutions, the execution of high-tech infrastructure projects, the cultivation of new competencies for future transport innovators, and the further development of the Russian engineering school.
The «PRO//Motion.Expo» framework brings together all industry experts and heads of manufacturing companies, technology developers and representatives of Russian and international railway research organizations. It offers a unique opportunity for collaboration and experience exchange and for establishing business connections for current and future projects.
Traditionally railway equipment manufacturers will demonstrate their most significant innovations at the exhibition. The business program will raise key points concerning the future development of railway transport technologies. Participants will also be able to watch an impressive dynamic display of vintage locomotives that will be dedicated to the 80th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War this year.
